Dominic Medals is an apostolate of the Servants of the Redemptor, working in tandem with members of the lay fraternity of St. Dominic, for the propagation and fulfillment of the fifth Marian Dogma through the carrying of the Purity Medal.
At the behest of our local bishop, the Most Reverend Joseph M. Siegel, a group of us, consisting of 22 members, are considered a Dominican Lay Chapter, known as 'The Woman Clothed With the Sun' in the Central Province of St. Albert the Great.
With the Lay Dominicans, we have Dominican formation and church activities in our private Dominican oratory we call the Upper Room (named due to 2nd floor of our workplace) and engage in the four pillars of the Dominican Lay Fraternity life. It is also where we observe some of our daily spiritual obligations.
The ideas expressed are those of the author alone and do not represent the endorsement or position of the Lay Fraternities of St. Dominic or the Order of Preachers as a whole.
